I hired Jason Davis (Davis Floors) last year to refinish the heart pine floor in one of the bedrooms of my vintage house.  The job was difficult because the floor had been covered with carpet in the past, and the carpet had been secured with a nasty mastic-type glue.  The wood floor itself had never been finished, and there was some wood damage due to the age of the house.  The job took longer than anticipated due to the nature of the problems, but the final product was wonderful.  And so, not surprisingly, I re-hired Jason this year to re-finish the remaining bedroom floors as well as to install salvaged pine flooring in my tv room.  His attention to detail and desire to make it perfect are qualities that really do make a difference.  I can say without reservation that I would not only hire him again, but that I recommend him as one of the expert floor guys in St Augustine.
