We do a lot of custom work and the very essence of custom work is that it's a job like no other; it's unique; It's a job we haven't done before. What do we do? Davis Floors is a Flooring Contractor, located in St. Augustine, Florida in the Greater Jacksonville, Florida area. We provide Sales, Installations & Repairs in Residential, Commercial & Marine flooring but our specialty is Marine Carpeting. Davis Floors is a family-owned business operated by Jason Davis and wife, Missi. We've been providing the highest quality flooring installations of all types of flooring all over Northeast Florida since 1990; from the most economical to the most high-end; from the smallest repair to the largest installations of yachts, homes and businesses. If you need your floor done right the first time, Davis Floors is the only call you'll need to make.

What distinguishes us from other Flooring Contractors is our uncompromising commitment to installation perfection, no matter the application, because we firmly believe that the product is only as good as the installation. We strictly adhere to the Carpet and Rug Institute's CRI Carpet Installation Standard 2011, the CFI's CFI Installer Commitment as well as individual manufacturer specifications for installation of their products.

We are also committed to offering the Greenest installations possible by using eco-friendly adhesives, recycled materials when available, environmentally-friendly methods as well as recycling installation scraps.

Our mission is always your total satisfaction with the installed flooring, no matter the type, style, grade, etc. Whether you buy the product from us or someone else is of little importance to us. Our concern is the installation itself; the finished product.

CREDENTIALS 
Mr. Davis is a Licensed Contractor in St. Johns County, FL and has been certified by The International Certified Floorcovering Installers Association (CFI) in both residential and commercial applications. Mr. Davis is also certified by Impax Technology in the use of the Kool Glide Flooring & Seaming System. We are substantially insured and workers' compensation compliant so your property and valuables are protected. And we are members of the Marine Industries Association of Northeast Florida.


Important note regarding licensing: 
The State of Florida does not regulate the flooring industry and most other specialty trades the way it regulates Builders, Electricians, Plumbers, etc.; thus there is no State License available for a Flooring Contractor. However, the state does allow the localized regulation of all contractors by empowering local governments to adopt and enforce ordinances pursuant to Title XXXII: Chapter 489, Florida Statutes. Therefore, it is necessary to maintain individual licenses in every local jurisdiction that we choose to service.

Currently, St. Johns County is the only known local government in Northeast Florida that offers and requires a Flooring Contractor License per St. Johns County Ordinance 2002-48. Most other county governments and municipalities only require an occupational license or business tax receipt, while few others reciprocate or offer no license at all. So, although The St. Johns County Flooring Contractor License only applies to St. Johns County, consumers in other counties or wherever can take a lot of comfort in the fact that we were still certified by a governmental licensing body to perform our trade. This certification included experience verification, verifiable letters of reference, the passing of a business law course and final approval before a contractor review board. This license also mandates that we perpetually satisfy liability insurance and workers' compensation requirements.
